What Is Stopping Me From Losing Weight?

It’s the simple things we resist that causes more pain then we bargained for. If we just dealt with stuff, life would be a lot easier. Take for example: Declaring your weight aloud or owning a weighing scale. Something so simple, yet so daunting for those battling their weight.

We act as though, if we don’t disclose it to anyone (even our husbands) or check our weight, then it doesn’t exist. That’s the problem. We are resisting the truth about our weight.

Think about it. What is it about your weight that makes you feel ashamed about saying it out aloud? Your weight is just a number. That’s all it is! Get clear about that. Your weight doesn’t mean anything, it’s just a measurement that helps determine whether or not you’re healthy. Your weight doesnt define you or make you any less of a person. It’s your thoughts about it that help you do that. It’s your inner dialogue that keeps you trapped in your weight.

Accept that all it is, is a number and this new perspective will release the limitations you created for yourself.

  1. Agreed! I finally reached my weight goals when I removed the battery from my scale, and began to think of food as fuel, and exercise as training for performance. Those three small changes together have helped me reach goals that I never ever thought possible.

    1. All we have to do is take out the meaning from what the numbers in our weight mean for us and about us, and then we will start to see transformation
